Chaco Culture National Historic Park

Salmon Ruins
10 miles east of Farmington, in Bloomfield, visit the Salmon Ruins. Salmon Ruins is one of the largest Chacoan style colonies built in the 11th century. Explore replicas of a sweatlodge, hogan, tipi, and pithouse. The museum holds ancient artifacts and interesting “new” exhibits. Buckhorn can take you to and from the Ruins easily.
Aztec Ruins National Historic Park
Just north of Farmington, visit the Aztec Ruins National Historic Park. There you will find the largest and oldest reconstructed Kiva in North America. Explore the 900 year old Great House and 40 rooms.
