Plan Ahead For a Smooth Journey

To ensure you don’t miss your flight, we recommend planning your transportation in advance. Many travelers face delays when relying on rideshare services like Uber, especially since Uber is not stationed at the Durango airport.

Keep in mind that the Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO) is 14.7 miles from downtown Durango, typically a 20-30 minute drive. No Hidden Fees

We pay a living wage to our drivers. If your luggage is delayed or lost we bill for waiting time and additional use of the vehicle. Waiting time charges begin 30 minutes after your plane reaches the gate. Waiting time is billed at hourly rates.

During winter storms flat rates are suspended and we bill by the hour. Preexisting reservations are unaffected by this policy. We honor our rate quotes.

Baggage

Excess baggage may limit our vehicle seating capacity. Anything that does not fit in the closed trunk compartment is considered Excess Baggage.

Oversize bags
Bicycles
Pet carriers
Coolers
Horse saddles
Hard cases
Golf bags
Anything else that does not fit into a closed trunk compartment

Skis and snowboards are NOT a problem. Please inform us at the time of reservation if you have extra gear. The minimum charge for a passenger with a bike is $92.00.

Service Area

Buck Horn Limousine is based in Durango, Colorado. Our rates are cheaper than a taxi. We service all of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming. Yes, that does include Ignacio, Bayfield, Durango Mountain Resort, Rafter J, Tamarron, Mesa Verde, Cortez, Pagosa Springs, Silverton, Durango West, Forest Lakes, Mountain Slums, Taco Towers, Tupperware Heights, and The Ghetto in the Meadow.

Protocol for Departures from DRO

The airlines request you arrive 90 minutes before your flight. DRO airport security will not allow you through security if you do not arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time unless you already have your boarding pass. Our dispatcher will help you decide what time your car should arrive.

For any cancellations or changes to your reservation, please ensure the process is complete by receiving confirmation from us. Kindly avoid relying solely on email or voicemail for these updates unless you have received a confirmation response.

Our Chauffeurs Are Punctual

Our drivers are prompt. If you wish your car to arrive early for airport departure or pick-ups, please schedule accordingly. We require the exact arrival flight time for airport pick-ups. We allow up to 15 minutes for passengers to claim their baggage. Your driver may accept incoming calls while driving. If you do not want your driver to accept phone calls at any point during your charter, you must request formal service at the time you arrange your charter.

We specialize in business travel. The rates on this page are for economy transportation. Travelers, students, locals, and repeat customers use economy transportation. Shared Rides

Vehicles

Basic car service passengers will ride in any of our vehicles. We reserve the right to substitute a van or SUV, at no extra charge, should it be necessary for scheduling efficiency.

Bad Weather

In the case of bad weather, we try our best to accommodate all of our passengers. We must prioritize departures over arrivals. Our airport shuttle fleet is the most equipped to travel in bad weather. We have never shut down due to winter storms. We reserve the right to add a surcharge for extremely bad road conditions. Additional time, if necessary, will bill at the hourly rate. We will explain this charge to you on the day of travel, as it may not have been relevant previously. Re-routing due to road closures bills at a rate of $84.00 per hour for sedans and $150.00 per hour for vans.

Cancellation Policy

Leaving a voice-mail or last minute e-mail is not an accepted form of canceling a reservation. There is no charge for cancellations due to extreme weather. We do charge full fare price for Passenger “no-shows”. See our cancellation policy for more information.

Why is our Airport Shuttle so affordable?

Our Basic Service is most similar to Point-to-Point Service in the transportation industry. It eliminates some of the more expensive and time consuming features of our formal Sedan Service. Invoicing, Email Confirmation and Multiple Reservation Changes are not available at these rates. If you need these services or will require the driver to wait for you please see our Formal Airport or Business Travel. Our basic point-to-point service requires that the passengers be ready at the curb at the agreed upon reservation time.

We cannot always accommodate changes in your itinerary if they interfere with other pre-arranged reservations. Directing a driver to change route, wait for more than 15 minutes or wait for you for an unspecified amount of time will change your level of service to “hourly-as-directed” which bills hourly.
